On Monday, August 24, 2015, at 8:43 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of NW 3rd Street in Reserve for the report of an armed robbery with firearms. The 33-year-old male victim told deputies that two male subjects with guns approached him and demanded that he empty his pockets. He surrendered his keys, cell phone, and cash to the perpetrators who then fled on foot on NW 3rd Street. The victim was not injured.
At 9:42 pm, deputies responded to the intersection of Pilgrim Street and NW 2nd Street in Reserve. The same victim reported that he saw a car that he thought was occupied by the people who robbed him when someone in the car starting shooting in his direction. He fled the area to escape the gunfire. No one was injured.
Deputies canvassed the area for information and suspects. The investigation is ongoing. Detectives anticipate meeting with the victim soon to gather more information about the incidents and perpetrators.
