On Wednesday, October 1,2014, at 9:36 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 500 block of Revere Drive in LaPlace for the report of several gunshots heard in the area. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found that two siblings at a residence had each received a non life threatening gunshot to the leg.
After investigation, it was learned that two unknown persons riding in a older model Gold Oldsmobile 2D Cutlass Supreme driving slowly on Revere Dr, had began shooting at the victims, identified as Roddy Johnson, 22, and his sister, Age 14. Both victims were struck in the right thigh area.
After shooting the victims, the suspects, two black males, fled the area leaving on Woodland Drive. Witnesses advised there were possibly more persons in the vehicle, but only two suspects fired shots.
Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
