August 28, 2013, Homicide Victim Identified
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives identified the homicide victim that was found Saturday morning on East 16th Street in Reserve. The victim was identified as Meshach Mason, 19, formerly of Reserve prior to moving to Kenner.
Homicide Investigation – August 24, 2013
On Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 8:25 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to East 16th Street in Reserve for the report of an unresponsive man lying on the ground near the train tracks. A resident of East 16th Street saw the subject and notified St. John authorities. Responding deputies arrived finding an unidentified man that was the apparent victim of a homicide. This homicide is the thirteenth homicide in St. John the Baptist Parish this year.
Investigators are seeking the assistance of the public in helping to identify the victim. The victim is described as a young black male that was wearing a black shirt and khaki pants.
