Nine officers recently graduated from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Regional Post Academy, Class 2007-02, held on the Thibodaux High School Campus from March to July 2007.
Dpy. Kernell Goudia has been with the St. John Sheriff’s Office since July 2004 Part Time and fulltime assigned to the Traffic Division since March 2007, Dpy. Gary Miles since May 2006 assigned to Corrections Division, Dpy. Gordon Jeffcoat since Jan. 2006 assigned to Civil Division as a Financial Analyst, Dpy. Clyde Holt began part time July 2004 in Traffic Division and since Sept. 2006 with the Warrants Division.

Dpy. Michael Oubre has been with the St. John Sheriff’s Office since July 2006 assigned to Corrections, Dpy. Travis Klibert since Nov. 2005 assigned to Corrections, Dpy. Tanner Mangano since Sept. 2006 assigned to Corrections, Cpl. Sammy Arcuri began July 1996 as a civil process officer and is now assigned as a Court Balif.

The 17 week nightly training course featured instructions in firearms, physical fitness, Louisiana Criminal Law, Traffic Laws, Report Writing, Interview and Interrogations, and General Investigations.
