Sheriff Mike Tregre and several fellow officers had a spook-tacular time October 28-29, 2021 during the parish’s Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat at Regala Gym in Reserve and West St. John High School in Edgard. The SJSO was happy to join other St. John Parish government offices to present this fun event.
Sheriff Mike Tregre and SWAT officers Jake Boudreaux, Mario Cole, Mike Dean and Jonathan Walker delighted children as they performed as Ghostbusters and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, respectively. A few officers transformed into their Super Hero characters to wish children a happy Halloween. Black Panther also known as Jermoine Nora, Batman also known as Justin Williams, Supergirl also known as Cpl. Claudette Edwards and Candace Keller, and Wonder Woman played by Maria Dantin entertained children.
Other officers also enjoyed decorating units with spooky themes and greeting the children.
All of the officers had a great time handing out bags of candy and glow sticks to hundreds of children who attended the events. Special thanks to Officers Ashley Clement and Jessica Abbate for creating the awesome decorations for the units.
