Lt. Douglas Buckler recently completed a 10-week polygraph examiner training course in Cape Coral, Florida. The class was conducted by Peak Credibility Assessment Training Center, which is accredited by the American Polygraph Association and the American Association of Police Polygraphists.
This intense course featured lessons on a variety of topics such as Law and Human Rights, Ethics, Scientific Testing, Mechanics of Instrument Operation, Credibility Assessment Techniques, Pre-Test Interview, Post-Test Interview, Psychology, Physiology, Test Data Analysis, and Practical Application of Credibility Assessment/Mock Examinations.
Captain Buckler was among 16 law enforcement officers nationwide who participated in the training in May through early July to learn the best practices and leading edge scientific procedures in credibility assessment.
