St. John Parish’s front line officers who are the first to help people in need were honored April 13, 2021 by parish officials during the St. John Parish Council meeting in LaPlace. Jaclyn Hotard, St. John Parish President, presented the parish’s 911 operators a proclamation declaring April 11-17, 2021 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in St. John.
Hotard and council members recognized the operators for their work and dedication to serving the community’s first responders and citizens. Sheriff Mike Tregre also thanked the group for its dedication to working behind the scenes to help others in need and to ensure the safety of the citizens of St. John.
