ATTENTION PROPERTY TAX OWNERS:

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently in planning tax sales for 2021.  Due to change orders from the Assessor’s Office removing homestead exemptions for tax years 2017 and 2018, the Sheriff’s Office will need to conduct three separate tax sales this year.  There will be a tax sale for unpaid 2017 taxes, one for unpaid 2018 taxes, and a tax sale for unpaid 2020 taxes.

In order to avoid paying interest and other costs related to unpaid 2017 and 2018 taxes because of the removal of homestead exemptions, please pay by MARCH 31, 2021.
