Sheriff Mike Tregre and several officers with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office had the privilege of participating in the 2020 royal Mardi Gras Ball at Twin Oaks Nursing Home in LaPlace February 20, 2020.
Julian Leesman and Virgie Watkins reigned as 2020 King and Queen of Twin Oaks. The officers enjoyed leading a second line for residents, escorting the royal court, and serving food for the celebration. Sheriff Tregre was excited to crown the 2020 royalty. The SJSO was happy to participate in this special event.
