Stefoin Cocky Francois, 29, of Reserve, wanted for illegal drugs and weapon violations, was arrested November 16, 2017. Francois was the last of seven suspects apprehended in an illegal drugs investigation that St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Operations detectives began in late October.  He is being held in custody in lieu of a $233,169.50 bond.

St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Operations detectives have arrested six people in connection to illegal drug activity in St. John the Baptist Parish.

Arrested on November 9, 2017 were Kemone Jermaine Clofer, 26, of Reserve; Jamal L. Joseph, 30, of Reserve; Carey Michael King Jr., 31, of Kenner; Jasmine Shnarayuan Beverlyshea Morgan, 24, of LaPlace; and Vinita Vonkese Cambre, 29, of Reserve. Derrence Jamal Greenup, 31, of LaPlace was arrested November 12, 2017.

Another individual, Stefon Francois, also is wanted in connection to this investigation.

After a three-week investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from an housing complex apartment in Reserve, members of the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant on November 9 in the 200 block of East 13th Street. Upon executing the court warrant, the suspects attempted to flee the residence. Detectives immediately apprehended and arrested King, Clofer, Joseph, Cambre, and Morgan.

A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia, and two firearms.

Detectives then obtained felony arrest warrants for Greenup and Francois who fled the residence as detectives approached the apartment. Greenup, who the investigation was centered around, was apprehended November 12 in Kenner by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and officers of the Kenner Police Department after receiving information on his whereabouts.

Clofer, Greenup, King and Joseph are convicted felons with lengthy criminal histories involving drugs, illegal carrying of weapons and crimes of violence.

Clofer was booked with flight from an officer (misd); possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia 1st offense (misd), violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law – drug free zone (felony), two counts of possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon (felony), two counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (felony), possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony) , possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $333,000 bond.

Joseph was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony), possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia first offense (misd), violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law – drug free zone (felony), two counts of possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon (felony); flight from an officer (misd), enter/remain after being forbidden – immovable structure. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $274,500 bond.

King was booked with violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law- drug free zone (felony), two counts of possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon (felony), two counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia 1st offense (misd), possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony), possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $271,500 bond.

Greenup was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony), possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, (felony), violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law-drug free zone (felony), enter/remain after being forbidden (immovable structure). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $229,500 bond.

Morgan was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony), possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia first offense (misd), violation of uniform controlled dangerous substances law – drug free zone (felony). She is being held in custody in lieu of a $221,500 bond.

Cambre was booked with possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia 1st offense (misd), possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony), two counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony). She is being held in custody in lieu of a $201,500 bond.

A search of the East 13th Street residence resulted in the recovery of cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia, undisclosed amount of cash, and two firearms.
