The SJSO Special Operations Division arrested Morris Joseph Lagrande, 24, and Mark Lagrande, 26, of Reserve, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, for several narcotics and firearms violations in connection with a narcotics investigation of a residence in the 300 block of East 27th Street in Reserve. Aftering obtaining a narcotics search and seizure warrant, detectives arrested brothers Mark and Morris Joseph Lagrande at their residence in the 300 block of East 27th Street in Reserve. Morris Joseph Lagrande was booked with four counts of illegal carrying of a weapon with controlled dangerous substance; illegal possession of stolen firearm; sale, distribution, or possession of legend drug without prescription or order prohibited; possession of Schedule 1 CDS; possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia 1st offense. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $229,000 bond. Mark Lagrande, 26 of East 27th Street in Reserve, was booked with four counts of illegal carrying of weapons; illegal possession of a firearm; illegal carrying of weapon with controlled dangerous substance; sale, distribution, or possession of legend drug without prescription or order prohibited; possession of Schedule 1 CDS; and possession with intent to distribute marijuana; and for possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia 1st offense attachment warrant. He is being held in custody in lieu of a 239,169.50 bond.

On November 29, 2016 the Special Operations Division began an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from a residence in the 300 block of East 27th street in Reserve. During the course of the investigation, detective discovered that Mark Lagrande and Morris Lagrande, who lived at the residence, has prior arrests for illegal drug and illegal weapons charges. On December 2, 2016, detectives discovered that Mark Lagrande was distributing marijuana from his residence. On December 8, 2016, detectives executed the narcotics search and seizure warrant. While arresting Lagrande detectives recovered a loaded Glock 22C 40 caliber handgun with an extended magazine that was concealed in his waistband. Detectives then arrested Morris Lagrande in a bedroom of the residence. Detectives also located and recovered about 180 grams of marijuana (about 6 ounces) , 4 MDMA tablets, 4 firearms, 7 bottles of Promethazine, a bullet proof vest, several boxes ammunition, several handgun magazines, 5 digital scales, and baggies used for packaging material. Further investigation revealed the recovered Smith & Wesson M&P handgun had been reported stolen.
