On Monday, September 26, 2016, at 7:45 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of West 3rd Street in LaPlace for the report that a man was shot. Deputies arrived on the scene to find Reginald Dropthmore, 36, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. This investigation is active. Citizens with information about this incident that call Crimestoppers do not have to testify in court and may qualify for a cash reward.
