On Friday, January 29, 2016, at 8:22 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Riverlands Drive in LaPlace for the report of attempted vehicle burglaries. The complainant witnessed two male subjects walking in the neighborhood pulling on car door handles checking to see if the cars were unlocked. When the complainant confronted the two subjects, they fled.
Deputies located one of the perpetrators and identified him as Zachary McIntosh, 17, of LaPlace. Deputies arrested McIntosh and booked him with attempted simple burglary. He was released from custody on January 30 on a $10,000 bond.
