On Friday, July 24, 2015, at 7:41pm, St. John The Baptist Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Annex Dr. in Reserve in reference to the report of an armed robbery. The victim, an 11 year old male, who resides in Reserve stated to deputies that he was approached by a large group of juveniles who demanded he relinquish his bicycle. Once the victim refused to relinquish his bicycle to the group of juveniles, one of the perpetrators threatened the victim with a pair of “pliers” if he did not surrender the bicycle. The victim eventually gave up control of his bicycle after threats of harm were made by one perpetrator.

The victim was later relocated to the Detective Bureau where he positively identified the perpetrator in a line up. The perpetrator, a 15 year old male from Laplace, was arrested by detectives that evening and booked for armed robbery. He is presently incarcerated at the Assumption Youth Detention Center.
