On Friday morning, March 6, 2015, Carlos Parrilla Jr. voluntarily walked in the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and met with detectives regarding the murder of Juan Jose Rivera on December 2, 2014 in LaPlace. During the interview, Parrilla confessed to the murder of Rivera. Detectives arrested and booked Carlos Parrilla Jr. for second-degree murder.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Carlos Parrilla Jr., 23. Detectives believe that Parilla has information or knows something about the murder of Juan Jose Rivera on December 2, 2014 in LaPlace.
Detectives want to talk to Parilla or anybody that has information that would help solve this murder.
Carlos Parilla Jr. frequents different addresses in the LaPlace area and New Orleans. He is a black male, five foot eleven inches tall, and weighs one hundred, fifty pounds.
