On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 10:33 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 700 block of Bienville Street in LaPlace for the report of gunshots. The complainants, an 18-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, reported that they were talking in front of the residence when a man fired several gunshots in their direction from a car. They described the car as a silver Nissan Sentra with the headlights turned off. The car fled the area traveling south on Greenwood Drive. No one was injured. Deputies saw a bullet hole in the truck that was parked in the driveway.
