On Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 10:08 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a LaPlace residence for the report of a rape. The father of a juvenile girl reported to deputies that his daughter told him that a relative had touched her inappropriately and raped her earlier in the week.
A juvenile detective conducted an investigation. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the detective arrested the 15-year-old male relative and booked him with simple rape. He remains in custody at the Assumption Parish Youth Detention Center.
