On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at approximately 7:00 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotic detectives conducted a traffic stop and recovered over 1 pound of marijuana from the vehicle. Detectives arrested the driver, Allen Zydallas, 40, of Ponchatoula and the passenger, Christina McGuire, 28, of LaPlace. The arrests culminated a month long joint narcotics investigation with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. Over the course of the investigation, detectives learned that large amounts of marijuana were being transported from Zvdallas’s residence in Ponchatoula to St. John the Baptist Parish.

Based on the findings of the traffic stop, detectives contacted Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives, and the joint investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at Zydallas’ residence.


Allen Zydallas
was booked with distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS, possession of drug
paraphernalia, and turn signals required. He
remains in custody in lieu of a $51,750.00 bond.

Christina McGuire
was booked with distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS. She remains in custody
in lieu of a $25,000.00 bond.

PONCHATOULA – Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the following:

In a joint operation between the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and St. John the Baptist Sheriff Office, 2 Ponchatoula residents were arrested on numerous narcotics related charges.

On March 19, 2014, Narcotics Agents from both agencies, executed a narcotics related search warrant at the residence of Allen ZYDALLAS, located at 28446 Vintage Lane in Ponchatoula. During an on-going narcotics investigation, agents learned that large amounts of marijuana were allegedly being transported from the afore mentioned residence, to various locations in St. John Parish.

Pursuant to the search warrant, Sandra Ann ZYDALALS (w/f, dob 03/30/1978), and a (4) yoa juvenile child were located at the residence. As a result of the search, agents located approximately 7.25 pounds of marijuana inside the residence, approximately 50 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, digital scales, packaging material, and cash currency in the amount of $4,644.00. The value of the narcotics and cash exceeded $12,900.00.

Sandra Ann ZYDALAIS was then arrested and the child placed in the custody of a family member.

Additionally, it was learned that two other juveniles live at the residence. All of the narcotics seized from the residence were located where anyone of the children could accessed them and harmed themselves.

Sandra Ann ZYDALLAS was charged with the following:
1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (marijuana)
1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (cocaine)
1 count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
1 count Possession of Legend Drug without prescription
3 counts Illegal use/possession of CDS in the Presence of Person Under the Age of 17 year of age

Allen Zydallas remains incarcerated in the St. John the Baptist Parish Jail. Upon his release he will be transported to the Tangipahoa Parish jail and charged with the following:
1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (marijuana)
1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (cocaine)
1 count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
1 count Possession of Legend Drug without prescription
3 counts Illegal use/possession of CDS in the Presence of Person Under the Age of 17 year of age
