On Monday, January 6, 2013, at 8:10 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the intersection of Highway LA 628 and Cardinal Street in LaPlace for the report of a subject slumped over the steering wheel of a car. The subject slumped over the steering wheel was identified as Shawn Fisher, 43, of Williamsburg Drive in LaPlace. Fisher was arrested and 
booked with DWI-by combination of alcohol and drug and improper stopping. He bonded out of jail on a $2,750 commercial bond.
Shawn Fisher was arrested 82 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since January 1989. Most recently, Fisher was arrested on September 16, 2013 and booked with proper equipment required on vehicles, signal required, vehicle-entering highway from private drive, general speed law (2), reckless operation, flight from an officer, and resisting an officer. He bonded out of jail on a $5,250 commercial bond. Prior to that arrest, Fisher was arrested on May 11, 2013 and booked with resisting an officer (4), battery of a police officer, safety belt use, and distribution/manufacturing schedule II CDS. He bonded out of jail on a $43,750 commercial bond.
