On Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 11:42 pm, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy responded to the area of Highway LA 44 and South Church Street in Garyville for the report of man walking in the middle of the roadway and screaming at passing vehicles.

When the deputy arrived, he saw vehicles nearly hit the man as he was stumbling while walking in the middle of the roadway. When the deputy talked with the man, the man’s breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage. The man, identified as Randy Alexis, 47, of Mount Airy, was arrested for disturbing the peace by appearing in an intoxicated condition. Upon his arrest, the deputy found that Alexis was in possession of about $75 worth of crack cocaine and pipe used to smoke crack cocaine.

Randy Alexis was booked with disturbing the peace by appearing in an intoxicated condition, possession of schedule II CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $8,250.00. He bonded out on Friday, September 27th , on a property bond.

On Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 12:19 am, deputies responded to the Monte Carlo Casino, 5353 West Airline Highway, in Garyville for the report of a disturbance. A witness told deputies that a man was running around the casino, and he ran into a wall and sustained a laceration to his face. He left the casino with a woman before deputies arrived.

Deputies indentified the man as Randy Alexis who was located at his house in Mount Airy. Alexis was transported to River Parish Hospital for treatment of his laceration and released. He was arrested and booked with disturbing the peace by appearing in an intoxicated condition and criminal damage to property under $500. Alexis remains in custody in lieu of a $1,250.00 bond.

Randy Alexis was arrested 39 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since May 1984.
