St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested two subjects in connection with the shooting of a 24 year old Reserve man on July 24th. The shooting occurred in the area of Creole Street in LaPlace, and the victim was driven to the River Parish Hospital emergency room for treatment.
Deshennen Alexander, 22, of Bannerwood Drive in Gretna was arrested and booked with 2 counts of attempted second degree murder. He remains in custody in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
Oliver Young, 19, of Richard Street in Gretna was arrested and booked with 2 counts of accessory after the fact to attempted second degree murder. He remains in custody in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
