On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 5:58 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence in the 2200 block of West
Canterbury Drive in LaPlace for the report of a stolen golf cart, charger, and golf clubs. On July 31st , the complainant reported to deputies that the golf cart was located in the backyard of a residence down the street.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and recovered the golf cart and charger. A 16 year old juvenile from the residence was detained and booked with simple burglary, simple criminal damage to property, and possession of stolen things. He was transferred to the Assumption Parish Juvenile
Detention Center.
