On Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 10:49 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 400 block of Camelia Avenue in LaPlace for the report of a subject trespassing on the driveway of a residence. 

Responding deputies located and arrested a subject matching the description of the perpetrator in the 200 block of Camelia Avenue. The perpetrator was identified as Carlo Nicholas, 20, of Donaldsonville, LA. He was booked with criminal trespassing.

 

On Monday, July 22, 2013, just after 6:00 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office received two complaints of vehicle burglaries in the 500 block of Camelia Avenue. One victim reported a duffle bag containing a gold ring, prescription medication, identification cards, and a set of keys stolen from a vehicle. The second victim reported a GPS navigator stolen from a vehicle. There was no forced entry into either vehicle.

 

Based on the investigation and stolen property that was in Carlo Nicholas’ possession during booking,  investigators booked Nicholas with two counts of simple burglary and possession of stolen things. Nicholas’ bond is $50,500.
