On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at approximately 12:30 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Corey Rebaldo, 36, of Fairway Drive in LaPlace on two fugitive warrants, resisting an officer by flight, and criminal trespassing. Rebaldo fled from St. John the Baptist Parish deputies in the 200 block of Belle Terre Boulevard to evade arrest. During a foot pursuit, Rebaldo scaled fences, jumped ditches, and ran between residences in the 700 block of Madewood Drive.
Rebaldo was wanted for fugitive warrants from Jefferson Parish and St. James Parish. The Jefferson Parish warrant was for contempt of court. Rebaldo failed to appear in court for a January 2012 incident in Jefferson Parish that his charges included theft of a police cruiser, resisting an officer, hit and run, reckless operation, attempted carjacking, assault, and disregarding a stop sign. Information on the St. James Parish warrant was not available.
