On Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11:43 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence in the 300 block of Magnolia Avenue in LaPlace for the report of a burglary. The victim told investigators that she was away from the residence most of the day, and when she returned, she saw that the house was burglarized. She reported a laptop computer and a game system stolen from the residence.
As the investigation developed, investigators identified Kendrick Scott, 17, of Magnolia Avenue as a suspect. On Sunday, Scott was arrested and booked with simple burglary. His bond was $10,000.00. He bonded out Sunday night.
