Sheriff Wayne L. Jones congratulates two St. John Parish Officers who recently graduated from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Regional Post Academy in April 2009. The academy was held on the Thibodaux High School Campus.
Pictured left to right – Dpy Vernon Bailey Jr., has been with the Sheriff’s Office since August 2007, Sheriff Wayne L. Jones, and Dpy. Patricia Pugh, who has been with the Sheriff’s Office since March 2007. Both officers are presently assigned to the Corrections Division.
The 12 week training course featured instructions in firearems, physical fitness, Louisiana Criminal and Traffic laws, Report writing, Interview and Interrogation techniques, and General Investigations.
