Sheriff Wayne L. Jones congratulates two St. John Parish Officers who recently graduated from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Regional Post Academy in May 2008. The academy was held on the Thibodaux High School Campus.
Pictured left to right – Dpy Barton Cammon, has been with the Sheriff’s Office since October 2007, Sheriff Wayne L. Jones, and Dpy. Michael Whittle, who also received the Marksmanship Award, has been with the Sheriff’s Office since May 2007. Both officers began their career with the Sheriff’s Office in the Corrections Division, have now been assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division.
The 12 week training course featured instructions in firearems, physical fitness, Louisiana Criminal and Traffic laws, Report writing, Interview and Interrogation techniques, and General Investigations.
