Second Arrest Made in Anderson Murder Investigation
Sade Cherrell Lee, 31, of Reserve was arrested Monday, June 4, 2018 in connection with the shooting death of Corey Anderson. Based on investigation detectives obtained a judicial warrant, and Lee was charged with accessory after the fact to second degree murder and obstruction of justice. She is being held in custody in lieu of $50,169.50 bond.
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, about 3 a.m., deputies responded to the 1300 block of Yorktowne Drive in LaPlace in reference to an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, deputies observed Anderson lying in a yard near the street with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. A motive is unknown at this time, and this investigation is ongoing.
Lee is the second suspect arrested in this case. Detectives booked DeQuan Donnell Brown, 23, of Reserve, a convicted felon, on May 23, 2018 with second degree murder. He is being held at the St. Charles Parish Correctional Center.

DeQuan Donnell Brown, 23, of Reserve was arrested Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in connection with the shooting death of Corey Lyntrell Anderson, 25, of Reserve. Brown, a convicted felon, was booked with second degree murder (felony) and transferred to the St. Charles Parish Correctional Center.
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, about 3 a.m., deputies responded to the 1300 block of Yorktowne Drive in reference to an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male, later identified as Anderson, lying in a yard near the street with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.
Through investigation, deputies learned Brown was driving a motorcycle when he was shot. Emergency services attempted to render medical aid, but Anderson died at the scene. A motive is unknown at this time, and this investigation is ongoing.
Among Brown’s prior arrests include charges of possession of firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, illegal possession of stolen things and armed robbery with a firearm in February 2016; and second degree murder in June 2014.

Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide after the body of a male, identified as Corey Lyntrell Anderson of Reserve, was found early Sunday morning in the 1300 block of Yorktowne Drive in LaPlace. Anderson, 25, had been shot.
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, about 3 a.m., deputies responded to the 1300 block of Yorktowne Drive in reference to an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male, later identified as Anderson, laying in the grass near the street with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. Deputies also discovered a motorcycle on the ground near the body. Officers and emergency services attempted to render medical aid to the subject, but he was unresponsive. The coroner pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
