On Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 6:55 pm, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputy responded to the area of Emma Drive in Reserve for the report of two teenagers walking on the railroad tracks yelling and cursing at several juveniles that were playing basketball in the cul-de-sac at the end of street. The complainant thought that they were the same two subjects that did the same thing two days earlier which ended with the two teenagers firing two gunshot at them and running east on the railroad tracks. The complainant provided the deputy with a description of the teenagers.
The reporting deputy canvassed the area looking for the two subjects and saw two subjects matching the description of the subjects that were reported walking on the railroad tracks. The deputy identified the subjects as Delano Frank, 18, and a 16-year-old male juvenile both of Homewood Place in Reserve. They told the deputy that they were walking on the tracks doing nothing wrong.
When assisting deputies arrived, deputies detained both subjects. Deputies recovered a loaded handgun and synthetic marijuana from Frank and recovered a loaded handgun with an obliterated serial number from the juvenile.
Deputies arrested Delano Frank and booked him with criminal trespassing, illegal carrying of a weapon, and possession of schedule I CDS. He remains in custody in lieu of a $22,000 bond. Frank was arrested February 11 for distribution of marijuana.
Deputies arrested the 16-year-old male juvenile and booked him with criminal trespassing, illegal carrying of a weapon, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He was transferred to the Assumption Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
