KEJUAN  FRANCOIS

On Sunday, April 5, 2015, at 5:23 pm, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriffs office deputy responded to a residence in the 500 block of Chatsworth Drive in LaPlace for the report of a disturbance. The complainant told the deputy that she and her childs father were engaged in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation.

Dalexus Holmes, 21, the complainant, told the reporting deputy that Kejuan Francois, 23, of East 23rd Street in Reserve left the residence walking after the altercation. Francois returned to the residence while the deputy was still there. When the deputy attempted to arrest Francois, Francois pulled away and fled on foot before making it back to his car. The deputys attempts to stop Francois from entering his car failed, and Francois fled the scene.

Responding deputies followed Francois as he headed toward Reserve on West Airline Highway and refused to stop. He continued on West Airline Highway disregarding red lights. Francois exited his car in the 100 block of East 22nd Street in Reserve, and after a brief foot pursuit, deputies apprehended Francois.

Deputies arrested Kejuan Francois and booked him with domestic abuse battery, aggravated flight from a deputy, reckless operation of a vehicle, hit and run driving, and simple criminal damage to property. He remains in custody in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Francois was arrested eight times in St. John the Baptist Parish since June 2010.

Dalexus Holmes was arrested by summons for domestic abuse battery and an outstanding attachment.
