Arrested for Armed Robbery of October 13, 2013

After learning that the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office wanted him for an outstanding arrest warrant, Graylen Cook, 19, of East 27th Street in Reserve turned himself in to authorities. On Wednesday, December 18, at approximately 10:45 am, Cook turned himself in to the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force.

Graylen Cook was wanted in connection to an armed robbery that occurred on Central Avenue in Reserve on October 13. Evidence collected from the scene of the armed robbery was submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory for analysis. Based on the results of the laboratory analysis, detectives sought and obtained a judicial court ordered arrestwarrant for Graylen Cook on December 13.

Cook was booked with armed robbery, simple burglary, and simple criminal damage to property. He remains in custody in lieu of a $96,000 bond.


 


 

Armed Robbery Investigation on Central Ave, Reserve
October 14, 2013 Release

On Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 7:58 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 300 block of Central Avenue in Reserve for the report of an armed robbery. Two male victims, ages 27 and 24, both from Reserve told deputies that they were at the car wash when two male subjects approached them. The perpetrators demanded the victims’ wallets, but the victims refused and ran from the car wash to the nearby Fire Station where they called the sheriff’s office. Deputies and K9 units searched the area for the perpetrators to no avail.

One perpetrator’s hairstyle was long dreads, and he carried a handgun. The other perpetrator’s hair was short, and he wore an orange or red shirt. Before fleeing, the perpetrators stole a radio with a screen from the dashboard of one truck and a wallet containing cash and bankcards from the other truck.
