ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE – In support of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Deputies who were involved in the recent tragedy, River Parish Hospital is holding a blood drive today at River Parish Hospital Medical Pavillion, 502 Rue de Sante, Suite 309 (third floor). The blood drive will be open until 4:00 p.m. today. River Parish Hospital asked individuals to please bring proper identification.
The Blood Center will also be at the Percy Hebert Building, 1801 West Airline Hwy, on Friday, August 17, 2012 between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Healthy individuals 16 years or older and weighing at least 110 pounds are eligible to donate blood. Sixteen year old individuals must weigh at least 130 pounds and have signed parental consent.
Interested individuals who would like to donate must have sufficient iron or hemoglobin levels prior to donating. Anyone who is eligible to donate can do so every 56 days or 8 weeks.
